1200 Backers—Last Stretch Goal Near!

The Kickstarter for BEYOND SCIENCE FICTION is approaching the last stretch goal, less than 6k away from 125k. The campaign has been wildly successful, and we can’t express enough the appreciation we have for Michael’s fans getting behind this very special project.

There’s just 15 hours left to pledge, so if you’re thinking about getting on board now is the time to grab some of the great exclusive rewards that Michael and Baby Tattoo Books are offering.

Final tally on the Kickstarter was 1,269 wonderful backers pledging an amazing $123,627, that’s over 10 times the initial goal of the project.

Many thanks to Bob Self for spearheading the Kickstarter and curating the upcoming exhibition at the Riverside Art Museum, to Mark Berry and the staff at Baby Tattoo Books for producing the companion book to the show, and most importantly to all the fans who made this project a reality.

The “Beyond Science Fiction” exhibition will run from February 11 into May so there is a loooong window of opportunity to see a selection of paintings that span Michael’s illustrious career.

I can’t stress enough what a wonderful experience it is to see a Michael Whelan painting in person. We hope to see you at the opening and would love for you to share stories and photos of your experience.
