“However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.” This Stanely Kubrick quote has had a huge influence on me, most recently through paintings like IN A WORLD OF HER OWN. In a sense, these works represent my hope for the future.

Here the ASTROPHYSICIST, my son Adrian portrayed at the age of 9, turns away from the night sky and instead looks towards the next generation as represented by my grandson Finn who carries a light. If there’s hope for this world, it certainly has to lie with them.
